Kuih Makmur. This popular Malaysian Kuih/Kueh Makmur is one of my favorite cookies. Kuih makmur is especially popular for Eid celebrations. I like to make it for Chinese New Year celebration too because the word "makmur" means prosperous 😉 Kuih momo reminds me of Indonesia's Kue Puteri Salju.
Kue makmur (Malay: kuih makmur, Jawi: معمور) is a traditional Malay kue or kuih. This cake made from butter, ghee and flour, and served during special occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Kue makmur is identified with its white colour and usually in a round shape. You can have Kuih Makmur using 11 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Kuih Makmur
- You need of Bahan-bahan Kulit.
- It's 3 cawan of tepung gandum.
- It's 125 gram of minyak sapi (1 tin kecil).
- Prepare 2 sudu makan of gula halus.
- You need of Secubit garam.
- You need of Bahan-bahan Inti.
- You need 1 cawan of serbuk kacang tanah.
- It's 1/2 cawan of susu pekat (anggaran).
- It's of Bahan Salutan.
- Prepare 1/2 cawan of gula icing.
- Prepare 1/2 cawan of susu tepung.
Pembekal makanan ringan dan perkhidmatan katering. Ghee Cookies is so easy to make. It doesn't require eggs nor sugar in the dough. Once kuih makmur has completely cooled down, then coat each kuih makmur with icing sugar.

- Sediakan bahan-bahan..
- Untuk Kulit: Sangai tepung terlebih dahulu. Kak Lat panaskan guna oven je. Suhu 200 selama 15 minit. Sejukkan kemudian diayak. Minyak sapi dicairkan. Kak Lat letak je tin minyak sapi tu atas oven. Mudahkan. Satukan semua bahan dan uli hingga menjadi doh. Rehatkan sebentar..
- Untuk Inti : Tuang serbuk kacang tanah ke dalam bekas. Masukkan susu pekat sikit demi sedikit sehingga mendapat bancuhan yang boleh dikepal. Ambil sedikit dan bulatkan atau buat bentuk bujur..
- Seterusnya, ambil sedikit bancuhan tepung dan buat lubang. Letak inti di dalamnya dan bentukkan. Sebenarnya, pada asalnya Kak Lat bercadang nak buat bentuk bulat. Sebab tu intinya bulat. Tapi dah tukar fikiran, nak buat bentuk bujur pulak. 😂 Jadi, jika cookpaders nak buat bentuk bujur, inti pun buat bujur juga ye 😘.
- Buat hingga habis dan bakar suhu 170 selama 25 minit atau sehingga masak, ikut oven masing-masing ye..
- Biarkan sejuk kemudian bolehlah disalut dengan gula dan susu tepung yang telah disatukan. Simpan di dalam bekas kedap udara..
